November President’s Newsletter and Meeting Notice

Perfect Weather for Antenna Work

The weather is turning and that means time for all the antenna work that was not done during the Summer. Current forecast is for wind and rain with potential for snow at the end of the week. We all know that antennas perform the best when snow is falling during their installation.

ARISS

The Salem-South Lyon Library and South Lyon East High School are working on the ARISS proposal for the second half of 2019. SLAARC’s role will be minimal until the educational and community package has be put together.

Updates to SLAARC Constitution and Bylaws

We are updating the two documents to reflect the wishes of club members to focus club meetings on presentations, projects, show-and-tell and Elmer’ing new members. Please review the two documents sent-out by our Vice-President Mike W8XH.

Election of Club Officers for 2019

We will nominate and elect club officers for 2019. We have individuals interested in serving all positions, however, if you have an interest in a particular position, please contact any of the current officers to ask about expectations for the office. These positions are open to all members in good standing.
