Special Event: Fall Support Your Parks – Belle Isle (US-1487), October 18th @ 10am-3pm (Open to all)
Join the club as we reprise our Belle Isle Parks on the Air activation by doing Fall Support Your Park on the Island in Detroit! More details on the park can be found at https://pota.app/#/park/US-1487
We’re planning starting to activate around 10am and we’ll do a BBQ Lunch around Noon! Bring your radio, or use a radio a club member has setup. The plan will be to operate until about 3pm. We hope to see you there.
Monthly: Club-Meeting: Sunday October 12th at 6:30pm – In-Person (Open to all)
The monthly club-meeting is an opportunity for members to meet in person and share a dinner (optional) at the Witch’s Hat Brewing Company (starts at 5pm) before proceeding across the street to the official meeting place. Club meetings occur at Witch’s Hat Depot starting at 6:30pm, and generally last 1 hour. Topics for each months meeting will be posted prior to the meeting. This event is open to anyone with an interest in the club or amateur radio. You do not need to be a member to join us!
Monthly: 2-Beer Social Radio Hour: Friday October 24th @ 4:45 pm – In-Person (Open to all 21up)
Come check out our “2-beer Social” and chat about radio projects with other like minded folks! We would love to see you and raise a pint with some club members to talk about the hobby and enjoy a cold brew at the end of the week. (USUALLY) Occurs the last Friday of each month from 4:45-7:00pm (or beyond, feel free to come a bit late if your work or commute dictates). Join us as we explore the semi-local microbrew scene!

Monthly: Amateur Radio License Testing – Saturday October 25th – In-Person (Open to all)
Are you ready to ascend to the next license? Or simply ready to test for your first Technician License? The SLAARC Club hosts a monthly VE Testing session which will allow you to test for your Amateur Radio License!

Weekly: Sunday Evening 8pm – The Official SLAARC NET (Open to all licensed Amateurs)
Join us to chat about your recent radio achievements, hear club news, and have a chat with other club members. The weekly Sunday Evening net is the official NET of the SLAARC club and occurs on each Sunday on N8SL (147.040+ 110.9pl) where the club doesn’t have a regular monthly in-person Meeting!
As a reminder, we’re always looking for club members to volunteer to run the net! Please check out the sign-up sheet and help support our club activities if you are able!
Weekly: Thursday Evening 10pm – The Late-Night Roundtable on N8SL. (Open to all licensed Amateurs)
The Late-Night round table brings a bit more casual conversation with other night-owls on the repeater N8SL (147.040+ 110.9pl). This is not a formal net, so feel free to come by, jump into the conversation whenever a topic peaks your interest. Hosted by N8JRD, W8KNX or W8MCV we’d love to have you for a late-evening chat!

Weekly: Saturday Morning 8:30am – In Person Radio Breakfast – In-Person (Open to all)
Join a group of club members on Saturday morning to get your day started right! Chat radio and life with other like minded folks over your choice of breakfast at the South Lyon Lucas Coney Island. The event starts at 8:30am and runs as long as you’re willing to sip a warm cup of coffee! See you there.
