August 2025 Calendar of Club Events

We find ourselves winding down the summer as August is upon us. A quieter schedule this month, so enjoy time out in the fleeting good weather that Michigan affords us in this late part of the summer!

SSTV on N8SL: Tuesday August 19th at 8:00pm  (Open to all licensed Amateurs)

Following the success and response of our previous SSTV Directed Net Events, we’ll be getting together to share SSTV images on the N8SL repeater for about an hour (depending on number of check-ins!). All Licensed amateurs are welcome to join us for an evening of SSTV Picture sharing between checked-in net goers.

Where: N8SL 147.04+ PL110.9 repeater.

  • 8:00 PM – Check-ins Begin
    • Please provide your Callsign, Location, and whether you’d like to transmit an image.
  • 8:10 PM – First Round of Transmissions
    • The mode for this event will be Robot 36, allowing for multiple rounds.
    • When called by Net Control:
      1. Indicate that you’re ready to transmit.
      2. Unkey, send your image, and allow it to scan completely.
      3. Once finished, describe your image with some fun and interesting context!
    • We will repeat this process for each participant, aiming for two rounds per person.

Looking forward to seeing you on the air!
